Lois Judd recites a poem she wrote about her experiences traveling and working in the cotton fields of Texas, Arizona, and California during the Dust Bowl. She touches on poverty (how they found they only had one cent left), she touches on harsh work and lifestyles ("not broke, but badly bended"), and about traveling from state to state.

Allen "Shorty" Vernon tells stories about his own personal experiences during the Dust Bowl. He talks about how the strong storms would flip over entire vehicles, blow small homes away, how the storms would go on for 14+ hours straight, and how at the end of the storms, the dust would be a few inches thick on the ground.

Allen "Shorty" Vernon tells a medley of his favorite stories from when he was growing up.
